There are five artist right now that I am pretty much following religiously. They first thing I do when I get on the computer (right after facebook) is check if these girls have had any updates. Ginny Weasley

So miss Ginny here, has been my muse for the past couple of weeks. Whenever I want to draw a cool action-y pose I just want to draw this girl because she is straight up BAD APPLES. I longed for the awesomeness of her character to transfer over into the movies but unfortunately it never did. Oh well! I can still visualize her in my doooooodles.

This one is my favorite. It's pretty simple but I love the pose. I tried to make her look like she just jumped onto the broom or something to that effect.

This one isn't finished but it's going to be the most impressive if I can pull it off. I imagine it is a scene in the final battle. I've already edited a lot from the point you are seeing (her face for example will hopefully look younger.)

'SMOOCH. Scene from their first kiss. I love how Rowling describes it like the kiss lasted "for several sunlit days" (Ahhh. paraphrasing...) Anyway, this pose was really difficult. First of all I'm pretty bad at drawing dudes in general but everything about it I just struggled with. And the most frustrating part is that the pose is so SIMPLE!

And just one of Ginny in a simple version of her Quidditch gear. I wish I could have gotten that leg more onto the broom, to exaggerate the whole pose but whatevs.

Ralph Fiennes and Alan Rickman are pretty much THE BEST right now. GAH! I loved the movie so much, it was such a perfect conclusion. Plus, I bet Ralph Fiennes had the greatest time playing Voldemort. THE GREATEST TIME. Anyway! I drew a little comic, illustrating a great scene in the movie. It's sort of a Spoiler Alert so if you have not seen all the movies or read all the books don't look! :)

Kendra and Snow

So I edited this. It's better I think.

In other news! I'm still in Florida but I'm coming home in 3 months and....4 days? Something like that. Anyway! Today Kelsi and I visited Snow White! It was totally great, she was so sweet and asked if we had princes of our own...

Before coming the the Disney College Program I didn't really like Snow, in fact she was one of my least favorite princess, but now she has to be my favorite classic princess. I don't know why but her design and dress is just so appealing and lovely. So I did really quick bust of her.

Introducing: Kendra the Genie!

Here's a character I've been drawing for a long time. She's shy and believes that magic equals happiness (fail.) I'm still not sure If I'm happy with her outfit because I want her character to develop from insecure to confident and I'd like to express that through her clothing choices. Maybe I'll have to try some frumpy genie clothing on her.

My first goal for this drawing was dramatic lighting from an odd angle and although I have a lot of work to do I think this is a big improvement. My second was to maintain a interesting and appealing color palate. Again, there's room for getting better but I'm still proud with what I came up with.
